You’re favorite weather forecasting service is getting even better! We’re adding new site functionality and even more of the content you love. We’re excited to announce BoulderCAST Premium, our new subscription-based platform for weather enthusiasts and casual followers alike. Read on for all the details and learn how you can get the very best of BoulderCAST!

BoulderCAST has been evolving over the course of the last year, from an idea, to a simple blog, to the weather platform it has become today. We are thrilled with the response and following we have gathered since inception. For that we thank you! We truly mean it when we say we couldn’t have done it without you. Our forecasts and content mean nothing until you choose to read them.

As part of this evolution, we’re eager to announce BoulderCAST Premium, a venture that we hope will make your connection with Front Range weather even deeper. BoulderCAST Premium is a membership program that enables our most committed followers to get an enhanced BoulderCAST experience, while at the same time supporting the hard work we all do.

Are we asking you for money? Yes! We’re asking Premium members for $3.99 per month to gain access to a richer, weather experience (save 10% when you sign up for a year). We at BoulderCAST have always prided ourselves in taking life’s leaps of faith, so to speak. While not as drastic as uprooting to move across the county, or giving up a dream job to go back to school, the vision of BoulderCAST Premium is certainly a change for everyone. Maybe more of a “hop” of faith?

What is BoulderCAST Premium?

First, let us say what it’s not. It’s not a paywall. Everything that has been free on BoulderCAST will remain free moving forward. Instead, BoulderCAST Premium offers extras and opportunities, enhancements to the regular BoulderCAST experience.

For starters, Premium members will get exclusive access to our most requested content addition: short and informative daily weather forecasts! DayCAST’s, as we call them, briefly summarize the upcoming day’s weather and give you a heads up on anything notable lurking down the road. They generally are a paragraph or two in length, take just a minute or two to read, and are available early each morning.

Premium subscribers will also gain access to periodic video content, including weather-related learning, storm recaps, forecasts leading up to big events, long-range outlooks, and much more. BoulderCAST Premium members will also gain early access to select content and see very limited advertisements.

The Premium member benefit that we’re most excited for are personal forecasts. If you need to know the weather for an upcoming event, whether it be in Boulder, California, or Zimbabwe, contact us and we’ll provide you with a custom weather forecast for your specified place and time frame. Premium members can request unlimited personal forecasts (within reason).

And this is just the start. BoulderCAST Premium is an evolving platform. It will only get better, with new features and benefits added regularly. In fact, we’re already hard at work on our next addition, a short-term, quick-glance forecast product set to launch sometime in April!

With BoulderCAST Premium, you really do have your own personal meteorologists!

If you have questions or comments about BoulderCAST Premium, please email us at contact@bouldercast.com.

We hope you’ll give BoulderCAST Premium a shot.
